    Hmm.
    Well, they may just have undergone a change in corporate philosophy.

    Conversely, it is possible they are towing this line because there is serious outrage in some quarters about how Apple litigiously browbeats the competition.

    Apologizing once in a while may assuage the nerves of vitriolic critics, making them (Apple) look more “humane”.

    An admission of a faux pas by an otherwise pendantically supercillious individual endears him to even his greatest foes. Same applets to corporate entities, I guess.

    But, for me, action speaks louder than words. Words are cheap, actions are EXPENSIVE!
